GVA announces that it has appointed Peter O’Brien as the new National Head of Valuation Consultancy.

Due to start in summer 2018 and based in the London Gresham Street office, Peter will take over from Tim Crossley-Smith, who has led the department for the past ten years. Tim will remain at GVA and focus solely on market facing business.

Peter brings more than 15 years of experience to GVA, most recently at JLL where he was a Lead Director of the National Valuation team and a Shadow Board member, having first joined the business in 2008. Prior to this, he worked with DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield) in the International Valuation Department working across the EMEA region.

In his role at GVA, Peter will be responsible for leading the Valuation Consultancy business across the UK and working closely with other departments to cross-sell GVA’s broad range of advisory services.

Gerry Hughes said: "Peter brings an impressive track record with him and is very highly regarded in the sector, making him ideally positioned to continue building on the team’s successes to date as the GVA business continues to transform and evolve.”

“Tim has been crucial in helping us to cement our position as one of the leading valuation practices operating across the UK. I am grateful to him for leading the team for ten years and look forward to continuing to benefit from his expertise at GVA.”
